KIRK SHANNON-BUTTS gave Reel Affirmations 16 patrons the first public view of his work in progress, Blueprint, Monday at Lincoln Theatre. The recipient of RA14’s Plant A Seed filmmaker grant, Kirk told the Lincoln audience about the creative process and the development of this, his first feature-length project as a director. It was a fascinating snapshot of what is and what will be. After the screening, Kirk and actors Damion Lee and Blake Young-Fountain attended a reception in their honor hosted by Black Pride at Alero.
